EXPERIENCE

Prof. Dr. Nordin Jamaludin is a lecturer and technical advisor currently working with Dept. of Mechanical and Material Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. has vast experience in the field of:

  • Areas of specialization are Sound & Vibration
  • Engineering Integrity Monitoring & Assessment
  • Machine Condition Monitoring (MCM)
  • Utilizes the acoustic emission (AE) technique, Strain-Stress Analysis technology, Sound and Vibration analysis for engineering integrity monitoring, analysis and assessment.
  • Affiliated with several professional bodies including Malaysian Society of Non-Destructive Testing, Vibration Institute, USA, Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, Fellow of Welding Institute of Malaysia.
  • Among the pioneers in Malaysia in the area of acoustic emission (AE) technique and responsible for the establishment of Malaysian Acoustic Emission Group (MAEG), a technical group under Malaysian Society of Non-Destructive Testing.
  • He is currently the chairman of the MAEG.
  • Pioneer in Malaysia in the area of Strain- Stress Analysis, a Russian technology and responsible to introduce the Strain-Stress Analysis technology to Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
  • He is the first Malaysian to obtain the Level 1 and Level 2 Certification of Strain-Stress in Southeast Asia.
  • Has been appointed as a technical consultant for UKM Pakarunding Sdn Bhd, UKM since 1992.
  • Has worked as a part time consultant and technical advisor      to several engineering and technology companies including MR Technology, Significant Technology, Sound and Vibration Technology, Daya Concept Engineering, Significant Technology and Fuhrend Engineering
  • Actively involved in the real engineering consultancy projects in Malaysia and internationally since 1992
  • Has extensive experience in conducting engineering integrity monitoring, analysis and assessment projects after being involved in more than 70 projects.
  • Specifically, he has been undergoing intensive works for engineering integrity monitoring, analysis and assessment with Barumas Perdana Indonesia, SVT Engineering Consultants, Perth, Australia, Longlands College UK, British Steel UK, Tioxide Europe Limited UK and Update International USA.
  • Actively involved in many research projects utilizing AE technique, Strain-Stress Analysis technology, and sound & vibration analysis with the total accumulated research grant of approximately RM 7.0 millions since the year 2000.
